Comrex has designed and manufactured broadcast equipment since its incorporation in 1961. A consistent thread throughout our product line is the careful application of the best in current technology to the specific needs of broadcasters. As an example, our POTS codecs, combine extensive knowledge of DSP based data reduction techniques with the latest in V.34 modem technology.
We offer POTS codecs that incorporate a 4-channel mixer (Vector) to codecs with the modular flexibility to incorporate POTS, ISDN and Wireless in one box (Matrix) to entry level ISDN (Nexus) or POTS (BlueBox) codecs. Comrex codecs provide a very down-to-earth answer to a universal broadcast need – to bring high quality audio into the studio from virtually anywhere, economically, at a moment's notice.
When people ask if we still own ourselves, we are pleased to answer YES! Comrex can be distinguished from many of its competitors in that it has no outside ownership demands. Because of this, we have the luxury of having to answer only to ourselves and our customers. We take pride in our reputation for doing what's right – both in terms of equipment design and customer support.
