Sarah Mills and Dave Stankler from The Revolution, broadcasting from the UK Motor Show in Birmingham, England. The station interviewed Adrian and Neil Rayment, the twins from the film "The Matrix", with the Comrex Matrix Portable and GSM Module to broadcast live while roaming around the show. Stankler, the station's managing director, says "Normally, we would struggle to do anything we have done today. Using the Matrix, we have good quality sound through to our on-air studio from anywhere on site. It's been excellent in terms of getting us out and about, being able to interview people and to to the different cars and exhibition areas"

This one is from Stan Campbell of the Travel Media Network

"Last month...on June 24th to be exact, we were broadcasting live from Saint John, New Brunswick to WPLM-FM in Boston using a SW56 line. The line began dropping out and eventually went dead. Everything seemed OK on our end in Sain t John. We had three more days to broadcast and it HAD to work without interuption. I called Comrex. We immediately got a loaner for the Boston end and a kind engineer at CHSJ in Saint John loaned us his Blue Box. The GM, Allen Anderson, from WPLM-FM drov e from Plymouth to Devens to pick up the loaner. The next morning we were back in business with a dial-up line and two Comrex units talking to each other, New Brunswick to Boston.

It worked flawlessly for the rest of the week...not even a re-negotiation. T he folks back at WPLM-FM could not believe the excellent audio quality. You see, the host, Sean Casey and the WPLM engineer has insisted on using either ISDN or SW56 for reliability and best audio quality. After hearing the broadcast using the Blue Boxes, they thought it sounded BETTER than the Switch56 line.

You have a new convert at WPLM-FM. (I tried to tell 'em but they had to experience it for themselves!) Hopefully their new experience will convert to a sale for you.

Thanks AGAIN to Comrex. (Helping us since 1995...I hope we have brought some folks to you over the years...)"

KKOB is still using a 20 year old Comrex wireless mic receiver (along with newer gear)

Yes, we still use the units here for remote broadcasts from sporting events and the like where they might interview people in the crowd. We use two identical units which have been in the station service for at least 20 years." Read the rest of the story.

This one came from an IT Director for a group in Ohio:

"We are very appreciative of all that you have done for us. Your prompt and courteous support was very calming when trying to solve a difficult problem we had. Your willingness to go beyond the call of duty to resolve the issue with us in a timely manner is very treatly appreciated and admired.

As far as we are concerned, Comrex is the leader in the industry and will continue to be so with the fine support staff that your company employs."

From the Olympics:

BTW...it's over...whew! All of our Hotline, Matrix, Nexus and DXP units got quite a workout during our local coverage of the Olympics. (23 show remotes, not to mention local news coverage from the Olympic Broadcast Center and a couple of BYU basketball games thrown in for good measure. One station even asked us for a single line "Comrex" feed of a news conference, which we can still do, believe it or not.) We couldn't have done without you!

This was passed on from one of our dealers in England:

WVNE Life Changing Radio

"Just a note to say that we are very happy with the Matrix unit.

....Our unit is about to leave for another trip to New Zealand. It's already been to France, the Netherlands and Windsor!"

This came to Radio World and Paul McLane was good enough to share it with us:

"A while ago I shared with you (via e-mail) that I had recommended our company purchase a Comrex Matrix because of an ad I saw in Radio World. I am enclosing a photo of me and the Comrex; feel free to use the photo, giving mention of me and the station I represent"

SETI, Are we alone?

From Bill Oxley, Producer of "Are We Alone?"

"Your equipment is "out of this world"" "Are We Alone" is a project of the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute.

Then there are these for tech support:

"I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciated the prompt and expert service. The speed of turn around was beyond reproach. Obviously Comrex is a company with its collective act together, a trait often missing when we deal with many of the broadcast vendors these days. Thanks.

"Please express my gratitude to Jill Martucci and John Andrews for the kind and thoughtful way they helped me solve a technical issue with a client's Hotline equipment. It is a combination of quality products and this type of customer service that has made COMREX broadcasting's number one product line. Hats off to COMREX and their staff. "

One of engineering's favorites:

"P.S. I'm buying more of these babies! In 20 years of broadcasting the Vectors have probably been the most important technological breakthrough product next to solid state transmitters"

And this one:

"We look forward to our maiden voyage with the new Matrix on Friday, November 2. We have a live show at a mall grand opening that should be a huge success. Like I told you on the phone, our Vector has served us well for the past two years. It has backhauled remotes from NASCAR tracks all over the south to the middle of the Atlantic on board the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy."
