High quality call-ins, made easy

Compelling guests can make a good radio show sound great. But anyone can just "phone it in." Keeping your listeners engaged in the program is key and nothing can cause a listener to hit the scan button on their car radio like a bad cell phone call even if it’s from a big celebrity or political figure. VIP QC from Comrex puts the power of wideband HD Voice in the hands of your remote guests and with HD Voice, now they’ll sound like they’re in the studio, not underwater.

VIP QC is an app that can be easily downloaded and installed on your guest’s iPhone and Android Smart Phone and used to call your Comrex STAC VIP VoIP Call Management System using the phone’s available data connection. Then, it’s as simple as Select and Connect.

Easy to Set Up

When VIP QC is run the first time, the app will download and present to the user the latest list of stations that participate. This list will be sorted by region, country, locality and city. Once the user selects their target station, no other configuration is necessary – all the information required to connect to that station is hardcoded into the app.

Easy to Use

The selected station can be changed at any time a call is not present by re-running the setup routine. Inclusion in the list is offered as a free service by Comrex. Participating stations simply register their STAC VIP with the Comrex SIP server. This is also free.

VIP QC users can even put a STAC VIP call on "hold", perform a normal cell phone call on the phone, and return to QC. QC has convenient mute and speakerphone functions.

Safe and Secure

Participating stations have the option of setting a global password for all connections to their STAC VIP – this is to prevent anyone from maliciously tying up their incoming channels with the app. The app prompts for the password when protected stations are selected. If it doesn’t match when a call is placed, the connection will fail.

Along with the optional password field, the user will be prompted for an optional user name, which will be displayed on the caller ID of the STAC VIP.

There aren’t any restrictions on who can buy and connect with QC and its available now for just $20 on the Apple App Store and Google’s Play Store (formerly Android Market).
