ACCESS Rack Technote

There are several methods of configuring and controlling your Comrex ACCESS Rackmount including the built-in Web Interface, our Windows-based Device Manager and Remote Control software and even with a keyboard, mouse and computer monitor connected directly to the back panel.

However, there is another method that deserves a closer look: touchscreen LCD monitors.

The ACCESS Rack is designed to work out-of-the-box with touchscreen LCD displays. Simply connect the VGA and USB cables from the monitor to the back of the ACCESS Rack before powering it on. When you boot the ACCESS, it will recognize the display as an input device and will have to calibrate the touchscreen the first time you use it.

If you have an ACCESS Portable, the intuitive interface will be instantly recognizable - the menu structure, features and settings are identical to those on the Portable.

An on-screen QUERTY keyboard is accessed with a quick tap, menus are quickly navigated with your finger and network statistics are viewed in full color.

Using a touchscreen LCD with the ACCESS Rack provides a compact, low-cost portable interface as well as flexibility and security not found with integrated displays.
