ACCESS & BRIC-Link Utility

BRIC Tester

BRIC Online Configuration Test | v 0.02

  • Running test, please wait...

  • Validating IP Address

Checks to make sure that the provided IP Address contains only valid characters and is a valid public IP address.

  • Validating Ports

Checks to make sure that the provided IP Ports contain only numbers, and are not set to commonly-used ports (IE ssh, email, etc).

  • Testing TCP Ports

Probes the provided IP Ports to check if they are open. NOTE: This only tests TCP traffic - this utility assumes that the port is open for both UDP and TCP traffic.

  • Testing Web Server Port

Attempts to connect to an ACCESS over the provided Web Server Port. If a unit is found, it will gather additional information for validation.

  • Testing XML Port

Attempts to connect to an ACCESS over the provided XML Port. If the user-provided port does not match what was found by the ACCESS Web Server, it will default to testing the configured port.

This script will test the basic setup of your ACCESS or BRIC-Link. It will test whether the BRIC Normal, GUI and XML ports are open, confirm that it can find the Web Interface server over the GUI port, check the configured XML port and finally attempt to connect to the unit over the XML port.

This is a work in progress, obviously.

Please take note! This script cannot test whether UDP ports are open - it can only test TCP. Therefore, if you have any port forwarding rules in place, you need to ensure that the BRIC Normal port rule is set up for both UDP and TCP.
