Our newest Access Connect Modem 2 is designed to support the unique needs of remote broadcasters! A high-powered, industrial strength 4G/LTE modem outfitted with 2 high-gain antennas, the Connect Modem 2 is more powerful than most USB data modems available on the market, to handle the heavy data load of a broadcast over IP.
Connect Modem 2s can be used with almost our entire ACCESS family of IP audio codecs(Access Portable Classic & Bric-Link II Excluded). 5.2-p3 capable ACCESS 2USBs are compatible with the new Connect Modem 2(Bracket Not Available). NX Portables have a mounting option that can accommodate single or dual modem use.
Connect Modems can also be utilized with our ACCESS family of IP audio codecs as well but only as a backup network for Bric-Link III when used in HotSwap mode. Connect Modems cannot be used as a primary network for BRIC-Link III units.

The Connect Modem for LiveShot Portable comes in three varieties

Although not specifically listed, some other modems are supported as Ethernet devices only. This means they will appear to the codec as a simple Ethernet port, and should be pre-configured to auto-connect. Unfortunately, when using these modems, no connect status or signal strength info is available by the network manager within the user interface. It may be possible to see modem status on ACCESS by opening the integrated web browser and inputting the UI address of the modem, which is different for different models. It’s usually not possible to use more than one type of this modem simultaneously.
